Yes, Hearthforge is completely free to play. You start with a starter deck of 25 cards and earn gold through daily quests, victories and achievements. Gold can be used to buy card packs, craft specific cards and unlock new classes.

You can get more cards in several ways: open card packs in the Shop using gold, craft specific cards using Dust in the Crafting screen, buy individual cards from other players in the Marketplace, or earn cards as rewards from quests and level ups.

Game tokens are needed to start a match. You receive 5 free tokens every day automatically. Ranked and tournament games cost 2 tokens each. Casual and VS AI games cost 1 token. If you run out you can buy more tokens in the Shop.

You start each game with 1 mana crystal. Each turn you gain one more, up to a maximum of 10. Every card has a mana cost shown in the top left corner. You can only play cards you have enough mana for. Unused mana does not carry over to the next turn.

Casual games are relaxed matches with no rank at stake, costing 1 token. Ranked games affect your rank points and seasonal standings, costing 2 tokens. Ranked games unlock seasonal rewards based on your final rank at the end of each month.

Each class has a unique hero power that costs 2 mana and can be used once per turn. They range from dealing damage to summoning minions to drawing cards. Hero powers are a core part of each class identity and strategy.

Taunt — enemies must attack this minion first. Divine Shield — absorbs one instance of damage. Battlecry — triggers when played from hand. Deathrattle — triggers when this minion dies. Rush — can attack minions immediately. Charge — can attack anything immediately. Stealth — cannot be targeted until it attacks. Poisonous — destroys any minion it damages. Lifesteal — damage dealt restores your hero's health. Overload — locks mana crystals next turn.

The Marketplace lets you buy and sell cards with other players at dynamic prices. List your unwanted cards for sale at any price you choose. Browse listings from other players and buy cards you need. Prices fluctuate based on supply and demand. Epic cards have a minimum price of 3,000G and Legendary cards minimum 15,000G.

Yes. You can withdraw gold as real currency through the Settings → Payment Methods section. The conversion rate is 50G per €1. A 5% processing fee applies to withdrawals. Minimum withdrawal is 500G.

Dust is the crafting currency. Disenchant unwanted cards to get dust, then craft specific cards you want. Common cards give 5 dust and cost 40 to craft. Rare cards give 20 dust and cost 100. Epic cards give 100 dust and cost 400. Legendary cards give 400 dust and cost 1600.

Yes, all your cards, gold, deck, rank and progress are saved to your account on our servers. You can log in from any device and continue where you left off.

Each email address can only have one account. Multiple accounts are not permitted and may result in account suspension.

Share your unique referral code found in Settings → Refer a Friend. When a new player registers using your code and plays their first game, you receive 500G as a referral bonus. There is no limit to how many players you can refer.

Hearthforge works best on Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge. We recommend using the latest version of Chrome for the best experience. Mobile browsers are supported on iOS Safari and Chrome for Android.
